This article will show you how to compose for Nokia, Ericsson, Motorola, Panasonic, Samsung and Siemens mobile phone.

Motorola (Generic)
Enter the ringtone in your mobile phone composer according to below table.
Character Press
C "2" one time
D "2" two times
E "2" three times
F "3" one time
G "3" two times
A "3" three times
B "4" one time
R "7" one time
+ "0" one time
- "0" two times
# "0" three times
1 "1" one time
2 "2" four times
3 "3" four times
4 "4" two times
6 "6" one time
8 "8" one time
space right arrow once

Panasonic (Generic)
The number in bracket tells you the amount of times you have to press the number on the left, e.g. "5(3)*" means press "5" three times, and then press "*" once in the ringtone composer. (For those which do not have bracket. press the number once.)

">" means press right key once.

Samsung (I)
For SGH-2488, SGH-800 or mobile phones which use the same key-in method.
Enter the ringtone directly into your mobile phone ringtone composer.

Samsung (II)
For SGH-R255, T100, T108, Nxx, A200 or mobile phones which use the same key-in method.
Enter the ringtone directly into your mobile phone ringtone composer.

Siemens
Pressing the numbers on your phones keypad will enter notes.
The ring tone notations are shown as, for example: E2 (1/16), where E is the tone, 2 is the octave, and (1/16) is the length.
To enter E2 (1/16) into your mobile you would start by setting the octave ( 2 ), by pressing the # key until 2 is shown on your display.
Next you enter the E note by pressing the 3 key on your phone.
Your phone will now display E2 (1/16).
The longer you hold this key, the longer the note will become, eg. (1/8), (1/4), (1/2) etc.

Some tones however look different, eg. Ais4 (1/16).
In this case you first press * on your phones keypad, which results in the is being displayed on screen. Next you change the octave to 2 by pressing the # key, until the screen displays is2. You then continue as before, and press the 6 on the keypad which corresponds to the A note. Holding the key down changes the length of the note.
