Acer has once again released a new and innovative smart phone, the Acer Stream. It runs in a Google,s Android 2.0 OS, a 1Ghz snapdragon processor, and has a 3.7 inch touchscreen. It also has 512 MB of RAM HSDPA, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.

It comes with a 2 GB microSD storage that can be expanded. Additionally, the Stream has a 5mega pixel built in camera and can be used for up to 720 HD video recording. The 3.7 inch touch screen has a 180 degree viewing angle and a haptic feedback for a more natural touch screen experience.

The package includes, the Acer Stream mobile phone, 8 Gigabyte microSD card with adapter, carrying case, screen protector, wall charger with detachable micro USB cable, hands free earpiece and the user’s manual. Acer Stream has one of the most unique features found in any smart phones available in the market.

It has the usual navigation keys like Home, Search and menu, Home key is a physical key while the remaining 3 are touch sensitive. Below these 4 navigation keys are the other buttons that are all physical keys for music control- play, pause, next and previous. Overall, Acer Stream is very comfortable to hold in the hand. Its functionality is one of a kind.

After releasing beTouch E110 and Liquid A1, Acer has released its newest addition to its Android phone collection, the new Acer neoTouch P400 that is made using the latest version of Windows Phone operating system. The new Acer neoTouch P400 get its inspiration for its design to iPhone.

In fact, neoTouch P400 has a small resemblance to iPhone. It has the same glossy black finish, circled by a chrome band at the edge of the phone. It also has the same narrow grill at the top of the earpiece, the same as what most Apple mobile phone has. NeoTouch P300 does not have the most high-end features most Android phone has but the individual component complements each other.

It has 7227 600 MHz processor and has a Windows Mobile version 6.5.3 operating system. Because its operating system is Windows Mobile, Windows Live messenger and MSN Instant Messaging come with it. It also has office tools like Microsoft Exchange Server, Mail and pocket Office, Powerpoint, Excel, Word and PDF reader. P400 has a talktime of 5 hours.

Acer neoTouch P300 is one of the smart phones that are released with a Windows Mobile v6.5.3, the latest Microsoft mobile OS just before Windows 7. Windows Mobile offers many features to make it easy for you to access your work contacts, emails and calendars.

Acer pushes it further by adding social media network applications like Facebook, YouTube, Flickr and Blogger. But the social network mentioned above is the only social media network accessible to Acer neoTouch P300, a strange and very incomplete move by Acer. Acer neoTouch P300 has a full set of applications that includes Office Mobile, Adobe reader software, MSN money, Google Maps, Facebook and Windows Live messenger.

Microsoft store do not have that many applications not like Andoir and Apple’s application store but those applications are of a higher standards in the Symbian, BlackBerry and Palm application stores. If you are on higher specs gadgets Acer neoTouch P300 is not your type of mobile phone because not just it has a lower Windows Mobile version it also has a pixilated screen.

But if your company requires it for compatibility reasons then P300 is not that bad. Not only it is very affordable, Acer neoTouch P300 has all the necessary and basic applications

For a phone that cost more or less $400 and EUR 340 in the U.S and Europe respectively, the Acer Liquid Metal has a lot to offer for its future users. It has a 3.4 inches LCD display that comes with a 480×800 pixels resolution.

A Snapdragon chipset similar to T-Mobile G2 and HTC Desire z are using, a 512 MB RAM/ROM, 14.4 Mbps HSDPA, Dolby mobile sound system, and a 5 mega pixel camera with LED and HD video recording sound. How’s that for a mobile phone in that price range? Not just that, Acer Liquid Metal also passed the FCC with AT&T bands and T-Mobile is starting a talk with Acer to bring the Liquid Metal as one of the phones available in their portfolio.

As what its name suggest, Acer Liquid Metal’s casing is partially made of cold, hard metal. In fact the battery cover is made of mocha-colored steel, and around the phone is a chrome-like band plastic that looks very elegant and sophisticated. Also, Acer Liquid Metal has a curved surface and very light weight that makes it very comfortable to hold and use.

Another unique feature of Acer Liquid Metal is the visual notification. It has 3 LED icons put on top of the phone that will light up whenever you have a missed call or a new message or each time you charge your mobile phone.

Ace Liquid E is another addition to an array of impressive technologies by Acer. It offers Android operating system functionality and a 768 MHz processor.  It is very compact device that measures 115mm by 62mm wide and 12 mm thick.It displays a 256k at 480×800 pixels resolution.

It has the usual features such as built in camera, internet access and satellite navigation. It also has a 3.5 inches screen and has a touch-screen functionality. Other features includes proximity sensor for auto off, 5.0 megapixel built in camera, auto-focus and standard VGA-standard video that can capture at 20 frames per second, hands free speaker phones 3.5 mm audio jack and MP3 and FM radio for music lovers, document viewer, voice memo system as well as Facebook and Flicker integration application.

Receiving SMS, MMS as well as IM is also very easy when using this phone. Acer Liquid E has a wide variety of connectivity which includes EDGE, GPRS, Wi-Fi and HSDPA connectivity that allows you to browse the web in a fast and effective way.

It also has a mini USB, a microSD card slot and Bluetooth. Acer Liquid E is available in black, red or white colors. Acer has produced another top of the line Android phone in their collection.

Acer’s smartphone rampage continues with the release of its newest smartphone, the Acer beTouch E140. It has a same hardware with Acer neoTouch P400 but different operating system.

Acer beTouch E140 has a measurement of 115 x 59.3 x 12mm and a weight of 125g and a 3.2 inch display. The phone comes with a black, red and white covers along with a 2GB microSD card and SD adapter to make it easy for you to transfer your files from your phone to your computer.

Other feature includes a 3.5mm headphone jack, external speakers, HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity. It also has a 3.2 megapixel camera that is fixed focus, so there is a little detail when it comes to distance shot and it will not focus on close subjects. Also it struggles with bright conditions. So if you are looking for an Android phone with a good built in camera, Acer beTouchE140 is not your type.

All in all, the Acer beTouch E140 offers a good and stable Android experience but it does not have the best hardware specifications available for an Android phone. Acer beTouch E140 is not the best Andoid phone but still it very affordable and still gets to do the job.

One of the features that make BlackBerry famous among techies is its form factor. It has a full QWERTY keyboard with a landscape mode screen for at least typing out more than a couple of sentences. Acer brings this experience to their own Android phones with their beTouch E130.

Acer beTouch E130 comes with the usual accessories like wall charger, carrying case, a beginners manual, headset and USB cable. It also has a microSD to Sd converter for its 2GB card pre installed. BeTouch E1230 also has a 416MHz CPU and a 512 MB ROM along with 256 MB RAM.

Along with its traditional QWERTY keys, Acer beTouch E130  has a shortcut button for messaging and if pressed for a longer time it will turn the phone into silent mode. Other features and specifications includes: 3.2 Mega-pixel camera, Stereo FM radio, GPS with A-GPS support, YouTube, Google Talk, Picasa integration, MP4 player, Document viewer (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, Optical trackpad, Bluetooth, WLAN.

Overall, Acer beTouch E130 is an interesting addition to Android based phones. It will make a good impression to some users who wants easy text generation on the actual keyboard, don’t realy need a larger screens for multimedia work and a relatively slow processor.

Despite being similar with Acer beTouch E130, Acer beTouch E120 is very different with its brother in terms of features. Acer beTouch E120 is powered by Android 1.6 operating system and has a 2.8 inch QVGA touch screen display.

It also has 3.2 mega pixel camera, and a micro SD card, a 3.5mm headphone jack and Facebook applications. This phone also has a brushed metal finished on the back that protects the built in camera. With enhanced 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity, beTouch E120 is suitable for communicating with your friends and loved ones all day long.

For music lovers, this phone has a built in Fm radio and 32 gigabyte storage capacity enough for your music collection and a Spinlets application for free music streaming. For people who do not want touch screens, Acer beTouch E120 has a 5-way navigational key available.

Other features includes Photo, music, video nemoPlayer, Bluetooth, GPS built in AGPS support, Universal inbox for SMS, MMS, email and many more. Acer assures that this phone is one of the most affordable in their line and one of the most user friendly phones for beginners. Its starting price is $200 and will hit the market by July 1 this year.

Acer beTouch E110 is one of the phones Acer introduced in the 2010 Mobile World Congress. It is a mid level smart phone with a 2.8 QVGA screen, Lack of Wi-Fi and an old Google platform. There is nothing wrong with that kind of specifications as long as the phone is affordable.

But these kinds of features cannot compete with the top android phones in the market. This might be a bad news for all the Acer users because they cannot enjoy some of android applications like YouTube, Google Maps, and many others. With this, let’s dig deeper and find some answers to the question whether to get an Acer Betouch E110 or not.
